Free autism workshop on March 22


Understanding Autism March 22 — with link

CHESTERTOWN — The Kent County Special Education Citizen's Advisory Committee is hosting a special presentation for parents and community members about autism spectrum disorder.

Understanding Autism will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 22 at Kent County Middle School.

This free workshop is presented by Pathfinders for Autism, an organization that works to support and improve the lives of individuals affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Pathfinders for Autism uses expansive, customized programming and provides resources, training, information and activities free of charge for families.

The March 22 presentation will discuss the early signs of ASD, sensory processing and social skills.

Understanding Autism will be held in the middle school's media center.

Pizza and childcare will be available for those who attend in person. A link will be provided to those who wish to attend virtually.
